Cheers with your dog! A specialty yakiton and kushiyaki restaurant where you can enjoy exquisite dishes on an open terrace.
東京都世田谷区 / カフェ・グルメ
A 3-minute walk from Futako-Tamagawa Station, "Kadoya Shoten" boasts a vibrant neon sign, brick walls, and a warm wooden deck, creating a lively yet stylish atmosphere.
It's a cozy space that invites you to drop by with your dog, drawn in by the neon lights during your walk.
The spacious wooden deck terrace seating is dog-friendly!
You can go directly to the terrace from the restaurant entrance and enjoy your meal at the counter seats with your beloved dog right beside you.
It's an open space, so your dog can relax too.
If you visit Kadoya Shoten, you can't miss their signature dish, "Yakiton" (grilled pork skewers).
The secret to its deliciousness is, above all, its freshness.
Kadoya Shoten carefully selects pork delivered fresh every morning.
As a result, there's no peculiar odor, and with every bite, the rich umami and juiciness inherent to the pork spread throughout your mouth.
Furthermore, to maximize the quality of the ingredients, each skewer is meticulously prepared.
The thickness and size are adjusted according to the cut of pork, and each skewer is carefully threaded.
By slowly grilling over charcoal, the outside becomes fragrant and crispy, while the inside remains tender and juicy, creating an exquisite texture.
The highly popular "Yakitori" (grilled chicken skewers) are prepared with the same skill and care as the main yakiton, reflecting the expertise of a specialty skewer restaurant.
The chicken is cut according to its type, carefully skewered, and slowly grilled over charcoal with expert technique, resulting in fragrant, juicy yakitori that locks in the meat's umami.
Beyond our proud classic meat skewers, we also offer a charming variety of vegetable skewers that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients.
In addition to classic bursting tomatoes, celery, shishito peppers, baby onions (pecolos), and shiitake mushroom skewers, a special delight at Kadoya Shoten is the appearance of the most delicious "seasonal vegetable skewers" at different times.
No matter when you visit, you'll have the pleasure of encountering fresh flavors of seasonal blessings, fragrantly grilled over charcoal.
Beyond skewers, the owner also offers a wide array of carefully crafted à la carte dishes.
Among them, the highly popular "Boiled Tongue" boasts an irresistible melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The greatest feature of this boiled tongue is its astonishing tenderness.
Slowly boiled for a long time, the tongue creates a blissful, melting sensation the moment it enters your mouth.
It feels as if it dissolves on your tongue, requiring no chewing.
Furthermore, thorough preparation ensures there is no peculiar odor characteristic of tongue.
Free from impurities, only the clear, high-quality umami of the meat spreads throughout your mouth.
To bring out this exquisite umami, the seasoning is extremely delicate and gentle.
The owner's top recommendation is the incredibly fresh "Horumon Sashimi" (offal sashimi).
The exquisite texture and umami, only possible with fresh pork offal delivered directly from the morning's slaughter, are truly exceptional.
Among the meat sashimi, "Kobukuro Sashimi" (pig uterus sashimi) is particularly popular and praised as "superb."
Freshness is key for kobukuro; one bite reveals its irresistible crunchy, popping texture, making it a perfect accompaniment for drinks.
With careful preparation and exquisite seasoning, you can enjoy the pure, high-quality umami of the offal.
We also recommend "Senmai Sashimi" (beef tripe sashimi), which has a unique, satisfyingly crisp texture.
Highly popular among women is the "Shibazuke Potato Salad."
This is no ordinary potato salad.
By adding shibazuke, a traditional Japanese pickle, it is elevated into a surprisingly refreshing "adult snack."
Within the smooth texture of mayonnaise and potato, the unique "crunchy, crisp" texture of shibazuke creates an exquisite accent.
This delightful contrast in textures makes it enjoyable and never tiresome.
Our proud selection of fried dishes is also extensive.
The lineup offers both classic comfort and unique originality.
The classic "Fried Octopus" is a staple that pairs perfectly with beer, featuring plump octopus and a crispy coating.
We especially recommend the unique "Fried Taro."
The fluffy, sticky texture of the taro and the fragrant crispiness of the coating create an exquisite contrast.
Other masterpieces from the owner include "Fried Myoga and Shirasu," "Fried Burdock Root," and "Thick-cut Ham Cutlet."
For the perfect end to your meal, we recommend "Reimen" (cold noodles) and "Yaki Onigiri" (grilled rice balls).
For those who want a refreshing finish, Reimen with its clear soup, refreshing acidity, and rich dashi umami is ideal.
The smooth, easy-to-swallow noodles reset your palate, providing a clean and invigorating finish.
For those who prefer a more substantial ending, the Yaki Onigiri, with its fragrant soy sauce flavor and crispy charred exterior, is sure to whet your appetite.
Enjoy a comforting, gentle taste with bonito flakes and accompanying pickles.
Our drinks are carefully selected to perfectly complement the flavors of our proud skewers and à la carte dishes.
In particular, our house-made fruit sours feature generous amounts of fruit steeped in large jars, allowing you to enjoy the fresh, natural flavors of the fruit.
We also offer about 20 varieties of sours and shochu cocktails, which are moderately sweet and have a clean aftertaste, helping to refresh your palate from the richness of the meat.
For draft beer, we have Kirin Heartland, and for bottled beer, Akahoshi (Sapporo Lager Beer), ensuring that beer lovers' needs are well met.
