Michelin-recognized taste! Crispy, chewy, juicy! A specialty gyoza restaurant where dumplings burst with flavor, handmade from the skin.
東京都練馬区 / カフェ・グルメ
Just a 1-minute walk from Nerima Station! Exit the West Exit of Nerima Station and turn right into the "Nishiguchi Shopping Street".
Continue straight, and you'll find "Gyoza Mania Nerima" on your right.
Its cozy, inviting atmosphere makes it a popular spot for dog lovers to drop by during their walks.
This gyoza specialty restaurant is also part of a chain whose sister restaurant was featured in "Michelin Bib Gourmand 2019".
Terrace seating, dogs welcome!
The terrace, lined with lanterns, evokes a nostalgic feeling, as if you've wandered into a Chinese street stall.
This exotic space offers a special time away from everyday life.
It's also a great feature that the terrace is equipped with air coolers in summer and heaters in winter, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Once seated, the first thing to arrive is the homemade Zha Cai (Sichuan pickled vegetable) served as an appetizer.
Many praise this Zha Cai as "delicious," meticulously prepared from desalting to seasoning, characterized by its exquisite saltiness and pleasant crunchy texture.
What's even better is that refills are free.
Its irresistible taste makes you keep reaching for more, building anticipation for the gyoza.
It pairs perfectly with gyoza; by alternating between rich, juicy gyoza and refreshing Zha Cai, you could eat endlessly.
If you visit Gyoza Mania for gyoza, the "Gyoza" itself is a must-try.
The gyoza is truly a masterpiece packed with "freshly made" deliciousness, with both the wrappers and fillings all homemade, carefully hand-wrapped one by one after your order.
This meticulous dedication, starting from rolling out the dough, creates an exceptional taste you won't find elsewhere.
A distinctive feature is that different doughs are used for pan-fried gyoza and boiled gyoza.
Pan-fried gyoza boasts a crispy, fragrant wrapper and an irresistible burst of juicy meat filling.
Boiled gyoza offers a delightful chewy texture of the wrapper.
With various flavors like shrimp, scallop, coriander, and chive-egg, you can choose according to your preference.
In addition to the classic pan-fried and boiled gyoza, we highly recommend trying the fried gyoza and spring rolls.
The fried gyoza, carefully wrapped one by one after your order and served freshly fried, offers an addictive contrast between its crispy, crunchy wrapper and the juicy filling sealed inside.
The spring rolls, fried to a crisp with a thin wrapper, will fill your mouth with the delightful texture and the rich flavor of ingredients like pork and bamboo shoots with every bite.
The "Chicken Soup," perfect as a palate cleanser between gyoza, is a heartwarming bowl ideal for enjoying your gyoza experience.
Made with a time-consuming process of simmering chicken bones for 7 hours, then blending and straining them, it results in a rich, milky white soup concentrated with chicken umami.
The simple seasoning of just salt highlights the chicken's natural rich flavor, offering a gentle taste that soothes the body.
Another signature dish, "Yodare Dori" (Sichuan Poached Chicken), is a masterpiece packed with the restaurant's dedication.
With one bite, you'll first be surprised by the moist and tender chicken, finished with low-temperature cooking.
It's completely free of dryness, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
This tender chicken is generously coated with the restaurant's special spicy sauce.
More than just spicy, its deep flavor, enhanced by the aromatic notes of nuts and fermented black beans, is truly renowned as "so delicious it makes you drool."
The highly popular "Homemade Chashu" (braised pork belly) is a masterpiece that rivals gyoza in its presence, with its tender texture and deep flavor.
Simmered slowly for many hours, the meat is moist and soft.
The rich, concentrated flavor of the meat that spreads the moment it enters your mouth is truly exquisite.
The authentic aroma of spices like star anise subtly blends with a somewhat nostalgic Japanese soy sauce-based taste, creating a perfect harmony.
The restaurant's recommended "Ebi Mayo" (Shrimp Mayonnaise) is a popular dish enjoyed by both children and adults, thanks to its plump texture and rich flavor.
With one bite, you'll first feel the bouncy elasticity of the large shrimp.
The coating around the shrimp has a pleasant crispy texture, creating an exquisite contrast with the plumpness inside.
The shrimp and coating are generously coated with the restaurant's special rich mayonnaise sauce.
Its creamy and mellow taste further enhances the shrimp's umami.
Among the vegetable dishes, "Nira Ran'ou" (Chives with Egg Yolk) is overwhelmingly popular, a simple yet unforgettable and addictive dish.
Fresh, crisp chives are fragrantly seasoned, topped with a rich, runny egg yolk.
Breaking the yolk and mixing it with the chives creates an instant spread of mellowness and richness, playing a exquisite harmony with the chives' rich aroma.
Its simplicity highlights the ingredients' natural flavors, making it an irresistible taste that keeps you reaching for more.
The hidden gem, "Hanjuku Pidan" (Soft-boiled Century Egg), is a special dish that combines the unique flavor of century eggs with a melting texture.
With one bite, you'll first notice the smooth texture unique to its soft-boiled center.
Unlike typical century eggs, the yolk has a gooey, melting texture that spreads throughout your mouth.
The characteristic strong flavor of century eggs is subdued, with concentrated umami and richness, making it easy to eat and highly recommended even for those who are not fond of century eggs.
The "Potato Salad," which has a growing number of repeat customers, is not just any potato salad.
The smooth-textured potato is accented by the crunchy texture and saltiness of Zha Cai, offering a delightful surprise with every bite.
Furthermore, it's generously topped with crispy, fragrant spring roll wrappers, allowing you to enjoy three textures—smooth, crunchy, and crispy—all at once.
The deep umami of the Zha Cai enhances the potato's sweetness, adding a substantial snack-like quality to its gentle flavor.
One bite, and you'll crave a beer or highball; it's an addictive taste.
For the perfect finish, how about our special noodles?
The "Mala Tangmen" (Spicy Noodle Soup) uses healthy vermicelli, a welcome choice for a light finish.
The special soup, a blend of chicken bone broth and flying fish dashi, offers a moderate spiciness yet is surprisingly light and easy to drink.
Its subtle kick stimulates the appetite, and its lightness is appealing as it won't feel heavy the next day.
The "Chicken Ramen" is perfect for those who want a light yet satisfying end to their meal.
The chicken-umami-rich soup gently soothes the body.
The yellow Chinese noodles, which cling to the soup, have a pleasant, smooth texture that isn't heavy even after eating plenty of gyoza.
It's a simple yet never-tiring bowl, fitting for a meal's conclusion.
After enjoying your gyoza, we also recommend our popular, unmissable desserts.
The most popular dessert, "Annin Tofu" (Almond Jelly), has a unique texture that differs from the typical wobbly kind.
When you take a bite, you'll enjoy a slightly firm yet chewy texture.
Despite its simple appearance, it's an addictive taste you won't forget after one bite.
The "Alphonso Mango Ice Cream" is a rich ice cream luxuriously made with Alphonso mango, known as the "King of Mangoes."
It features a rich aroma and a sticky, creamy sweetness, with the authentic, rich flavor of mango spreading throughout your mouth with every spoonful.
It's a luxurious item that refreshes your palate after gyoza while enhancing your post-meal satisfaction.
For drinks, we offer a wide selection, from classics to unique options, all designed to make your gyoza even more delicious.
In addition to standard draft and bottled beers, we also have Taiwanese beer, which pairs exceptionally well with gyoza.
Furthermore, authentic Chinese liquors such as traditional jar-aged Shaoxing wine and fragrant Osmanthus wine (Gui Hua Chen Jiu) with its elegant osmanthus aroma further enhance the deep flavors of the gyoza.
Fruit-based sours and cocktails, which add a vibrant touch to your meal, are also popular.
Refreshing drinks made with mango, lychee, pomegranate, and more help cleanse the palate from the rich gyoza juices.
For health-conscious guests, we also recommend original medicinal cocktails like herbal lemonade and herbal cola.
To conclude your meal, relax with a warm cup of tea.
We offer authentic Chinese teas such as Fujian Oolong tea, Jasmine tea, and Yunnan Pu-erh tea, served in warm teapots.
They refresh your mouth and are perfect after a meal.
On your way home from a pleasant walk with your beloved dog, if you're in the mood for a quick drink, Gyoza Mania Nerima's Happy Hour is perfect.
Held exclusively from Monday to Friday, 17:00 to 18:30, all pan-fried gyoza and selected drinks are half price!
However, as this Happy Hour is held periodically for a limited time, we recommend checking its availability by phone or Instagram before your visit.
A dog menu is also available.
It features gently boiled, high-quality chicken tenderloin.
Our dog-loving staff carefully shred it into small pieces for your dog to easily eat.
What's more, water is served free of charge! The price is just 100 yen, making it very easy to order.
